No Exceptions to the Ban on Torture
Louise Arbour writes that the absolute ban on torture, a cornerstone of the international human rights edifice, is under attack. The principle we once believed to be unassailable ˆ the inherent right to physical integrity and dignity of the person ˆ is becoming a casualty of the so-called war on terror.

Next stop Hong Kong
Danish artist Jens Galschiot is going to Hong Kong to erect 3 larger sculpture groups, all illustrating the global inequality. The sculptures will be put up in the public space in Victoria Park in Hong Kong and carried along with the demonstrations. - Thursday morning at eight o'clock we are going to Hong Kong, to make a tremendous happening during the WTO Summit.
