UPDATE 6 August:
still no email - still no FTP - i can't update /RENEGADE/ at all, and the article server is probably history. i will try and see if i can get a database dump, and restore it somehow for historical purposes... what do you think? are the nearly 9,000 articles there worth worrying about?
